Cilantro Mayo

This cilantro-mayo recipe is so easy to make and pairs well with many Colombian-American recipes! While cilantro-based mayo is not unique to Colombia, it compliments Colombian cuisine so nicely!

The best part is that this sauce just needs a few ingredients that are probably already in your kitchen!

Use your freshest cilantro and seal in an airtight container up to 3 days (in the fridge of course!)

What You’ll Need:

  • 1 cup of packed cilantro
  • ¼ cup of mayo
  • 2 tablespoons of lime juice
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • ½ teaspoon of pepper
  • ½ teaspoon of minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon of onion powder

Directions:

  • Combine all of the ingredients in a food processor. Scrape down the sides as needed.
  • Pulse until creamy and liquidy.
  • Enjoy with arepas, beans and rice, or any snack!
  • Yields ¼ cup of sauce.
